Advancing clinical research

Our pipeline in Gastroenterology and Hepatology targets areas of high unmet need, including: 

• Primary biliary cholangitis (PBC) – a chronic autoimmune liver disease causing progressive destruction of the bile ducts
• Cholestatic pruritus in adult PBC patients – a severe and often debilitating itch caused by impaired bile flow

In immunology, we focus on developing innovative treatments for immune-mediated diseases, including: 

• Axial Spondyloarthritis – a chronic inflammatory disease causing painful stiffness of the spine and sacroiliac joints
• Polyarticular Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis – the most common chronic autoimmune arthritis in children, leading to joint inflammation and pain
• Systemic Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis – a severe childhood inflammatory disease characterised by arthritis with systemic features such as recurrent high fevers and rash
• Pediatric Ulcerative Colitis – a disease characterised by remitting and relapsing inflammation of the large intestine in children, negatively affecting growth, development, psychosocial function, and overall well-being.

We are exploring opportunities in infectious diseases, including Herpes Simplex Virus Encephalitis – a life‑threatening viral infection causing acute inflammation of the brain.
