A code of ethics is an essential tool to manage a company’s ethical and social quality, but for pharmaceutical companies it is much more than that. It formalises the social contract between the company and all stakeholders regarding an essential topic: the health of people.
Alfasigma’s code of ethics establishes in detail the rights, duties and responsibilities that the group has to its stakeholders, both internal and external. Among these, the rules of conduct towards human resources, the relations with the Public Administration, the influence on decision makers at the local and national government levels, the criteria for managing the relationships with customers and suppliers or, plainly speaking, individual behaviours in terms of potential conflicts of interest or personal gifts, the relationships with the media and political parties, and sources of financing. These prescriptions have a normative character for the entire Alfasigma system.
