Alfasigma Spain maintains its commitment to social responsibility and renews its willingness to collaborate and be at the side of society and its difficulties to contribute to well-being.
In order to facing the reality and improving the quality of life, this year our efforts have been mobilized to meet the needs in three different areas.
The coronavirus pandemic is leaving no one indifferent and therefore, one of our commitments remains to support different projects for COVID-19 research. Healthcare professionals and research teams are working intensively to obtain answers that will help us to better understand SARS-CoV-2 so that we can definitively control COVID-19. This year's collaboration has been for the Fundación Hospital Clínic in Barcelona and Hospital Ramón y Cajal in Madrid.
We also wanted to be at the side of those affected by the volcano on the island of La Palma, and for this reason, we are supporting the Cruz Roja extensive humanitarian aid, with daily emergency management, food and shelter for vulnerable people, education and psychological support, among many other urgent measures to repair the damage caused by the volcanic eruption.
And the third collaboration is for the Fundación Dr. Ferran of Hospital Virgen de la Cinta in Tortosa, Tarragona. An historical commitment to the city where our centenary origins lie, Tortosa, and with which we feel a strong bond. The Fundación Dr. Ferran promotes biomedical research projects, organizes annual grants and encourages health activities in Tierras del Ebro.
